What is the secret that some people live longer than others? There are many answers, including those from Traditional Chinese Medicine. A further question is how to help most people to live healthier and longer? There are many suggestions too. Again among them there is the voice from TCM. In this lecture, Dr. Yang will analyze a series of formulas and several food products to emphasize the importance of longer life and the balance of the inner environment of the body. From this lecture, you not only learn several important formulas that you can use in daily practice, but also the thought and strategies which inspire you and deepen your TCM knowledge.

Yifan Yang studied, graduated and worked in Beijing Universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 1977 to 1990. From 1991 she works as a TCM practitioner and lecturer in the Netherlands. She combines Chinese herbs, acupuncture, diet, life style advice and mental supporting to help patients and to reach maximal therapeutic results.  She holds lectures and seminars in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Poland. In 2013, she passed her defense of her thesis Depression and the Five Internal Organs and received the highest clinical expertise title of TCM in China, translated as senior specialist of TCM/Prof. of TCM treatment

She is the author of 2 welcomed books Chinese Herbal Medicine –Comparisons and Characteristics (Churchill Livingstone/Elsevier 2002, 2010), Chinese Herbal Formulas – Treatment principles and Composition Strategies (Churchill Livingstone/Elsevier 2010). She contributed 5 chapters for the book Treatment of Pain with Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture (Churchill Livingstone/Elsevier 2002). She contributed the chapter Chinese Medicine and Psychological Disorders for the book Schizophrenia, Sleep, Acupuncture (Hogrefe 2008).
